If you are currently on Koh Samui with your family, you have probably already noticed how quickly time flies here. The morning begins with simple plans for breakfast, then the beach, swimming, ice cream, laughter, warm wind, and in the evening it seems as if the day has flown by in a minute. And then the holiday ends, and all that remains on your phone are random shots, lots of identical selfies and very little of the mood that was actually there.

I live and shoot on the island and work as a family photographer in Koh Samui. My task is very simple and very important: to preserve your holiday beautiful and alive. So that in a month, a year, or several years, you can open your photos and hear the sea again. You can see how the light fell on your hair, how your children laughed, how you hugged and looked at each other with genuine warmth.

If you are looking for a family photo shoot on Koh Samui to preserve this trip not only in your memory but also in beautiful, high-quality photos, then you have come to the right place.

A simple way to remember your holiday

The best family photos should not feel like an "event". It's more like a pleasant walk, a light-hearted time together, when there is someone nearby who sees the light, the background, and the mood. Someone who will tell you where to stand, where to turn, how to make the shot more harmonious and neat.

You don't have to know how to pose or be models. But you can definitely count on my help. I will gently guide you, suggest simple, understandable poses and movements so that you look natural and beautiful. And then everything happens on its own. Children play, you laugh, someone picks up a baby, someone adjusts a dress, someone simply walks on the sand, and there is real magic in that.

As a result, you get not a set of the "right" pictures, but a warm story of your trip. One that you want to look at again and again. One that is nice to send to grandparents. One that you want to print out and put up at home. That’s the real point of a Koh Samui vacation photographer.

Where we can shoot

The beauty of Koh Samui is that it is easy to find a location that suits your personality, pace and comfort. Some people dream of a classic beach and sunset. Others value the privacy of a villa. Some want everything to be as convenient as possible, right in the hotel. And sometimes families enjoy a little adventure to neighbouring islands.

Family photo shoot on the beach

Beach shoots always look fresh, light and very resort-like. The sea, sand, palm trees, open space and beautiful air that can even be felt in the photographs. We don't usually stand in one place, but move around. We walk a little along the shore, stop at the most beautiful spots, take pictures by the water, on the sand, among the palm trees or on the rocks, if it suits your style.

The softest and most expressive lighting is early in the morning and closer to evening. At this time, the skin looks smoother, the eyes shine, and a pleasant golden glow appears around them. Sunsets on Koh Samui are especially atmospheric: warm, gentle, with beautiful reflections on the water. If you want this kind of cinematic light, we will choose the right time and a quiet beach near your area.

Family photoshoot at the villa

If you live in a villa, a photo shoot can be very cosy and relaxed. This is a great option if you have small children and it is important to have everything close at hand: water, snacks, toys, a favourite blanket, a comfortable temperature. Children behave more freely in their home environment, and the photos turn out to be especially homely, warm and sincere.

At a villa, you can capture beautiful moments on the terrace, by the pool, in the garden, against a backdrop of tropical greenery or by large windows with soft daylight. There is plenty of air, lots of details, and the atmosphere is more private, calm and intimate.

Family photosession at the hotel

A photo shoot at a hotel or resort is often the most convenient solution. No long journeys, no hassle. You simply step out of your room and everything around you is beautiful: well-kept paths, neat lawns, stylish relaxation areas, palm trees, a swimming pool, and the beach nearby.

Such shoots are especially well suited for families who want a light format without unnecessary logistics. We can take several different pictures within the same area, and you won't get tired.

Family Island-trip photoshoot on Koh Samui

If you want something a bit more adventurous, we can build your session around a day out. A Pig Island photoshoot is a fun choice for families who love boat days and want those bright, turquoise-water memories. Another option is a Koh Tan photoshoot for a more laid-back island feel.

This isn’t for everyone, but if it matches your holiday plans, it can be unforgettable.

How does a family photoshoot go?

Most often, families end up saying the same thing: ‘We thought it would be difficult, but it was easy.’ And that's exactly what I strive for.

I conduct the shoot in a calm and friendly manner. I give clear instructions to help you look harmonious and confident. I pay attention to the little things that greatly affect the final result: hair, clothing, hand position, light on the face, clean background. I make sure that no one feels too tense in front of the camera.

If a child is shy, we start gently and without rushing. If a child is active, that's great: we'll turn that energy into lively shots. If a child is tired, we'll take a break. I always prioritise comfort, respect for your pace, and a human approach.

Before we meet

You don’t need to overthink anything. If you want the quickest win, choose comfortable outfits that feel like you, and keep colors simple so your faces stand out. For beach sessions, softer light in the morning or late afternoon usually looks best.

If you’d like more detailed guidance, I keep it all in one place so you don’t have to scroll through long messages. You can read practical tips on the blog, and you’ll find full information about sessions on the pricing page.

What you will receive

You’ll get a set of edited digital photos that tell the story of your time on Koh Samui. I keep the skin tones natural, the colors warm, and the overall look timeless, so your images still feel good years from now, not just this season.

Most importantly, you’ll get photos that feel like your family, on your holiday, exactly as it was.

FAQ

Can we shoot at our hotel or villa

Yes. Many sessions happen exactly where you’re staying, and it often makes the experience smoother, especially with children.

What if it rains

We can usually adjust timing, move to a sheltered spot at your villa or resort, or reschedule if needed. Samui weather changes quickly, and we plan with that in mind.

How long does it take

Most families choose a session length that matches their kids’ energy and the look they want. Short and sweet works great for little ones, and longer sessions give more variety and a calmer pace.

I’ll tell you the current delivery timeline when you message me, and I always keep communication clear so you know what to expect.
